Hunter heads to GOP dinner

Republican presidential hopeful Duncan Hunter will headline the Tuscola-Huron GOP Lincoln Day dinner in Caro Thursday a party official says.
The event is scheduled to begin with a social hour at 5:30 p.m. at the Brentwood Restaurant & Bowling, 178 Park, said Phillip W. Hardy, chairman of the Tuscola County Republican Party. Dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tickets cost $25 per person or $45 per couple.
Representatives from other presidential campaigns and local candidates for federal and state offices are expected to speak, he said. The state’s presidential primary is Tuesday.
Hunter, a veteran member of the U.S. House from California, is best known as a member of the House Armed Services Committee. He has campaigned mostly on fair trade,
manufacturing and defense issues.
